- ShippedNew12 days agoYour AI phone assistant now takes calls, books visits and handles emergenciesAI phone answering is now open to every account with an active plan and a card on file. There’s no waiting list: get your answering number from Phone System, forward your business line to it, and every call is answered. The assistant greets callers with your business name, takes their name, email and the job address, and each call lands on the right board as a request, scored or prioritised, with your usual alerts. It can now book visits on the call: turn on Book visits during calls, and the assistant offers your open times and books one while the caller is on the line. For emergencies, set an on-call phone and urgent service calls are transferred straight to it; the assistant reminds anyone in danger to hang up and call 911 first. Every transfer is recorded in Change History. Prefer to answer yourself? Turn on Ring your phone first: during your booking hours your phone rings for 20 seconds, and you press 1 to take the call, so your voicemail never does. Anything the assistant couldn’t finish waits in Calls to review.
- ShippedNewtodayWhat your callers hear: a call with your AI assistantHere’s how a call to your business sounds. First, a short notice: “Thank you for calling. To ensure quality service and accurate booking, this call is recorded. Please hold while I connect you to our virtual assistant.” Then your assistant answers in your business’s name. For example: “Thanks for calling Reyes Roofing, how can I help?” It never says it works for Janus; to your caller, it’s your front desk. Say the caller has a leak. The assistant asks for their name, the best email to reach them, and the address of the property. If booking is on, it offers open times (“I have Tuesday at 10 a.m. or Wednesday at 2 p.m.; which works better?”) and confirms the one they pick. If the call is an emergency and you’ve set an on-call phone, it says it’s connecting them to your on-call technician, reminds them to call 911 first if anyone is in danger, and transfers the call. When the call ends, the request is already on your board with everything they said.
- ShippedNewtodayTexting your customers and staff is liveJanus now texts your customers for you, from your own business number. Every text starts with your business name and ends with “Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help,” so customers always know who’s texting and how to stop. When you miss a call, the caller gets a text back within seconds, and a deal opens on your board. Customers who book get a confirmation with a link to move or cancel, and a reminder before the visit. After the job, Janus asks how it went and sends happy customers your Google review link. When you dispatch a tech, the customer gets a text that they’re on the way, with the tech’s photo when you’ve added one. Janus only texts customers who agreed to texts on your request form; the exception is a caller you just missed, who gets the one text-back. To start, submit your texting registration from Phone System. The mobile carriers need it before they’ll deliver your texts, and Janus files it with them for you.
- ShippedNew12 days agoStronger customer data deletion and call privacyWhen one of your customers asks to be deleted, we now remove their details from more places. A deletion can be matched by email, phone number, or both, and it clears their name and contact details from: - leads and their contact card - missed-call logs - appointment titles - call transcripts, summaries, and caller numbers - the records of what was sent to Jobber or your webhook Your deals, jobs, and visits stay, so board counts, revenue, and history stay correct. Janus can't delete inside Jobber or a connected Google or Outlook calendar, so remove the customer there yourself. Call data is now kept for only 90 days. After that, transcripts, summaries, and caller numbers are removed automatically, while the request made from the call stays. Every AI-answered call starts with a recording notice. To request a deletion, contact Janus support with the customer's email address, phone number, or both.
- ShippedNew16 days agoFour kinds of front doors, built for what they collectEvery front door now has a kind — Sales, Support, Submission, or Hiring — set when you create it. Each kind starts with its own questions, its own welcome page, and its own confirmation, so a support request no longer reads like an estimate form and a job applicant isn't asked for a property address. Support requests get a priority (Urgent/High/Normal/Low) instead of a Hot/Warm/Cold score. Create a new door under Settings → Front Doors to see the four options, or edit an existing one — changing the kind only affects new requests.See how each kind works →
