Janus billing policy
Short version: 30 days free, then a flat monthly rate per location for your plan (starting at $149/month) billed every 3 months, unlimited team members on every plan, cancel whenever you like from your own settings.
Your free trial
Your trial runs for 30 days from the day you sign up. We ask for a card up front so your account keeps working the moment the trial ends, but we don't charge it during the trial. We email you when the trial starts, and again about a week before it ends, so the first charge is never a surprise.
What you pay, and when
Janus has two plans — Starter and Pro — each a flat monthly rate per location no matter how many people on your team use it:
- Starter: $149/month per location
- Pro: $249/month per location
You're billed once every 3 months for whichever plan is active on your account — so a Pro account is charged $249 × 3 months per quarter. The first charge lands on the day your trial ends, and after that on the same date every quarter until you cancel. Change plans anytime from your team settings, and the change takes effect immediately — an upgrade or downgrade reprices your next charge right away rather than waiting for the next quarter. Every successful payment gets an emailed receipt.
Canceling
Go to Settings → Billing in your account and cancel. No phone call, no email to a retention team, no notice period. Cancel before your trial ends and you are never charged at all. Cancel later and you keep access through the quarter you have already paid for; we don't charge you again.
If a payment fails
We email you the same day. Our payment processor (Stripe) automatically retries the card a few times over the following days, and we'll ask you to update it. If the payment still hasn't gone through 12 days after the first failure, we pause access to your account — we do not delete anything. Every contact, job, appointment and photo stays exactly where it is, and access comes back the moment a payment succeeds.
If we still haven't been able to collect 30 days after the first failure, we close the subscription and email you. At that point you can ask us for a full export of your data before it is eventually removed.
Your card details
We never see or store your card number. Card entry happens on Stripe's own pages; Janus only ever holds a Stripe customer reference and the last four digits so we can say which card we mean in an email.
